Alhamdulillah Neeli Masjid has been a beacon of the Rochdale community since 1969. With the support of your donations and Allah’s help we provide a number of services. These include:

• Providing services of worship for all members
• A madrassah which accommodates over 300+ children on weekdays.
• Mosque tours for schools and youth groups from across the Rochdale borough
• Weekly youth clubs for children aged 8-14, including a weekly self-defence class.
• Regular educational Islamic classes and courses for all ages in English and Urdu
• A groundbreaking SEN madrassah allowing children to learn Islam, qaidah and Quran.
• All other services facilitating marriages, deaths and other social gatherings.
• Providing weekend tuition classes via an external provider.

As you will be aware from the cost-of-living crisis of the last few years prices and household costs have risen for everyone. The masjid is no different as we have also seen our expenses increase – gas, electric and water have significantly risen, as have wage costs for all our staff. These costs will continue to increase in the coming years. We have also recently spent significant funds on improvements to our CCTV and Audio and Video systems. General maintenance costs have also increased.

The main costs expected to rise higher than usual for the next financial year will be employment costs due to Minimum Wage and National Insurance increases. We have recently taken the difficult decision to increase our madrassah fees after 3 years to assist with mitigating the rising employment costs, however we still expect a monthly deficit which is where we need your help.

We need your support to continue to provide for the growing needs of our community. We’re asking for 500 Brother & Sisters to setup a direct debit of at least £10 / month for as long as you can. One off donations are also welcome.

Alhamdulillah the masjid has grown significantly along with the needs of our community since we first opened our doors in 1969.

The Education & Well-Being centre has been designed to support the continuing needs of our community, including some of the activities mentioned above.

We need your continuous support as we move to Phase 3, the completion of the project which will insha’Allah have the building be ready for use.

We’re asking you to support in the following ways:

1. We’re looking for a minimum of 850 Brothers & Sisters to setup a monthly direct of at least £25 / month for 24 months for continuous donations.
2. During this Ramdhan to reach our fundraising target of £150,000. An easy way to look at this target is for 300 Brothers & Sisters to donate £500 each Ramadhan.

At Neeli Masjid, we aim to centre our activities to help build our community and support those in need. Examples of just some of the ways we support include:

• We work in partnership with The Army of Kindness to feed refugees and poor families.
• We provide support to families in need with difficult circumstances.
